Admission into the Zollege Program has been the best decision. From then till now it has been a great journey. I have to say its one of the best Medical Assistant Schools in the College Station area! The Administrators are very hands on and details in their educating. Faculty of Zollege is the best out there! The atmosphere is in an actual health clinic so you are learning in a place just like you will be working. I feel very confident I will find a fulfilling job as a Medical Assistant after this! Where should I begin? Let me start off by saying that the education provided at the College Station Medical Assistant School is top tier. Every piece of information given is correct & precise. At the beginning I had no idea of a lot of the medical side of things but boy did that change after 24 weeks. Week 1 I couldn’t tell you pretty much anything about the medical field but after week 24 I could tell you anything you’d like to know. I wouldn’t be able to do / say that if it weren’t for the absolutely amazing instructors I had during my time in the program. Not only do they teach you correctly, but they teach you with the intention of you actually DIGESTING & ABSORBING the information / skills they’re providing. I couldn’t ask for a better experience nor better instructors if I’m being honest… I don’t think I’d find any! Huge thanks to Deshanna, Kristen & Mary I wouldn’t be where I’m at, let alone know what I know if it wasn’t for them. I will always cherish them & take them wherever I go, they are truly AMAZING people. They make sure you actually understand what you’re doing & if you have a question / concern they will make sure you FULLY understand, they will NOT leave you up in the wind for absolutely ANYTHING. Lecture days were mostly for information review & comprehension but LAB days were where the fun was at. From learning about various injection sites to the angle at which to insert the needle, which needle to use when & where PLUS blood draws! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience during my 24 weeks within the program, if you’re worried about the 24 weeks being worth it in the end trust me…. It WILL BE. The doors this program opens for you is insane, a new career, a new profession, a new side of perspectives & much much more. If I could give this program a 100/100 I would! I’ll leave it at that, if you’re hesitant don’t be, if you’re worried if it’ll all pay off trust me it WILL big time! My name’s Guillermo but if you want to ask about me just say, “Do y'all know G?” Trust me. Read less

couldn't have asked for better instructors, i started during the pandemic, as this unfortunate time, we were unable to meet most of the time. however they are very patient with students, as they work one to one with everyone. they make sure you understand, the procedure done in class, they are open to teach students after class to clear any questions, they are very engage with students learning, they answer very question that a student may have, no matter if you have a question outside of class hours, they are very open to answer them without any issue, amazing teachers that they really care for their students. as in this difficult time we are going through they have definitely made the most out of each class. College Station Medical Assistant School is the best choice I ever made...for myself and for my family. The instructors at this school deserve all the credit for how far I have excelled in my career today. I just finished celebrating a full year as a CCMA! I was able to obtain a externship without issue. I even found full time employment before I could even finish Medical Assistant school with a “big name clinic” before ever graduating. I felt from the very beginning that I was being given the tools I would need to pass my certification exam and to succeed in my career. The hands on lab days were of course my favorite, being able to practice and learn side by side with guidance from experienced professionals actively in the medical field; our very own instructors were what I found most beneficial. Mrs. Kim & Ms. DeShaunna made it a personal commitment to offer any help or answer any questions during and after classes and actually wanted you to succeed. It wasn’t about the tuition, and it’s clear that this was more than a job for them, you can tell they love to teach. I scored the highest in my class and probably finished the exam in record time too! That was because from day 1- Mrs. Kim always preached that if we show up every class and do THE work that we would succeed. She was right, and I’m still succeeding today and doing THE WORK. Thank you x1000... I love what I do & look forward to working every day and being an example of what you both bring to the table. Read less

Frequently Asked Questions

We don't accept financial aid, but we have some pretty great reasons why! The founder of our school, Dr. Ince, wanted to create an opportunity for those who desire to enter the field. He believed that students deserve not only a great education but also an affordable and convenient option. Rather than making our school more expensive in order to allow for financial assistance, Dr. Ince chose to keep tuition affordable, giving our students the opportunity to graduate with little to no student loan debt. If none of our payment plan options work for you, please give us a call. We are more than happy to customize a plan!

Yes, you can pay by check. Checks must be sent two weeks before your start date, and you must call our admissions team to provide a tracking number. They should be addressed to Zollege Management Inc., 7701 N. Lamar Blvd, Suite 300, Austin, TX 78752.

The time it takes to become a Medical Assistant varies between schools and certification programs. Our curriculum is 18-weeks long and fully prepares students to start working as a medical assistant.

College Station Medical Assistant School is a hands-on learning program. We take a different approach from traditional education. Our classes take place in a medical office rather than a classroom, with a hands-on component to every part of our course. Classes begin with a lecture and discussion, but most of the class time is spent in labs learning the essential techniques of medical assisting. When our students graduate and begin their career, they feel at home in a medical office.

As a newly hired Medical Assistant, your employer will expect you to know the basic skills of medical assisting. Those fundamental skills are exactly what we focus on teaching our students. Our custom-designed curriculum sets students up for success by covering precisely what doctors will expect them to know.

When you graduate from any medical assisting school you receive a certificate of completion. Many students ask if they can expect to make a higher starting salary if they attend a longer program. The starting salary for a Medical Assistant does not depend on how long you spent in school or how much you paid for your schooling.

Medical Assistants perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to assisting the doctor, carrying out clinical tasks, and completing administrative work.

Medical assistants may perform many different clinical duties including taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and drawing blood. Administrative tasks are equally important in the medical assisting field; medical assistants are also in charge of scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, working with insurance files, and billing.

Assistants are responsible for making patients feel at ease while also preparing them for treatment. During medical visits, assistants often work alongside the doctor.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment of medical assistants is projected to grow 12 percent from 2024 to 2034, much faster than the average for all occupations. For more information, please visit the Bureau of Labor Statistics website.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the median annual wage for medical assistants was $44,200 as of May 2024. For more information, please visit the Bureau of Labor Statistics website.

Benefits vary by practice and should be discussed with the hiring practice.
